Nicholas Barber gives MGAN a cautious but ultimately rewarding review.

It’s hard to believe that this game is over 10 years old now – it was released in 2007 – but despite its age, MGAN is still a nasty little horror adventure with a killer robot girl at its heart. There’s not much story here, but what’s there is well written and very engaging. The puzzles are difficult without being obtuse, and the atmosphere is perfect for scaring the pants off of even the most jaded gamer. If you’re looking for a gory blast from the past with some great atmosphere and challenging puzzles, then MGAN is definitely worth checking out.

MGAN is a gory horror game with a killer robot girl at its heart. After playing through the prologue, set before the titular M3GAN’s rampage, you are thrust into the aftermath, as survivors scramble to escape the horrors that have befallen their town.

The game is played out in an open world environment with multiple pathways and endings. The controls are simple, using WASD or the mouse to move around and interact with objects and people. Combat is based on quick time events (QTEs), where you must press buttons quickly in order to avoid being killed.

Despite its simplicity, MGAN still manages to be nasty fun. The gory violence is suitably gruesome and there are plenty of unsettling scenes littered throughout the game. The ending is a satisfying conclusion to what has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

M3GAN is hardly a classic, but you can bet that it will spawn several sequels and a thousand Halloween costumes

MGAN is unlike any other horror game you’ve played. The setting is a post-apocalyptic world where the last survivors are forced to fight for their lives against a mechanical army led by a mad scientist.

The story is filled with dark humor and gritty violence, making it perfect for fans of classic zombie and vampire movies. But what really sets MGAN apart is the gameplay. The protagonist must navigate through twisted, gory levels full of deadly machines and mutants.

If that wasn’t enough, there are also powerful weapons and abilities to be found, making this one unique horror adventure you don’t want to miss.

There is no logical explanation for M3GAN’s sudden transformation into a singing, dancing serial killer, other than the fact that this happens frequently in films like this one.

There is no logical explanation for M3GAN’s sudden transformation into a singing, dancing serial killer, other than the fact that this happens frequently in films like this one. MEGAN is an absolutely gory horror with plenty of blood and guts, and its killer robot girl is one of the most disturbing things you’ll see on screen. The film’s campy humor helps to offset some of the more grisly moments and makes it a lot more enjoyable overall.
